Alison has always managed to resist the obsession with being beautiful that emanates from nearby Beverly Hills. But when she's burned in an accident, she gives in to her mother's wishes that she visit a plastic surgeon. She finds herself taken with the doctor and what he says he can do for her, until she realizes that the work he's doing is making her look more and more like his first wife.
