Description
Examines the history of The Flying Scotsman locomotive while witnessing its return to Yorkshire in celebration of its 200th birthday. In a second program viewers join engineers, crew, former owners, and rail fans on a journey through the countryside of Britain as The Flying Scotsman is tested and readied for summer seaside excursions. Also includes a bonus program featuring an interview with Alan Pegler, who rescued The Flying Scotsman from the scrapheap nearly fifty years ago.
